Another year has passed since my last blog post.
The weather has been odd this year in Virginia. We had a mild winter and heat and drought this summer. Many of our plants are dead or dying. The grass is dry and crispy.
We wait for rain.
Ever faithful is our old pear tree. We don’t use pesticides and the pears aren’t particularly pretty but this tree always bears more than we can harvest. The extra doesn’t go to waste the bear, deer, raccoons, as well as our chickens and peacocks, eat any that I don’t harvest.
It is just a beautiful ordinary moment.

Welcome, I'm an artist/maker that lives on a small flower and chicken farm in Virginia. I’m an introvert that prefers to spend quiet time in nature observing and taking photos and painting scenes from our happy life. On our little farm, we grow flowers from seeds and gather fresh eggs from our sweet chicks. I run a small farm stand and Art Wagon on our property. I also have a mermaid heart that longs to be by the water. Sometimes I share things I cook and make and our trips to the sea. I hope you will say hello. xo Kim
